Local Employment Stats Sept. 2010

The Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area unemployment rate fell to 8.2% in September, down from 8.7% in August 2010, and the same as the 8.2% in August 2009, the Texas Workforce Commission reports.

State-wide the Texas seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.1% in September, down from 8.3% in August, and continued to trend below the U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for September of 9.6%.
