Leadership Fort Bend Class of 2013 – Limited Spots Remaining

I can’t believe it’s been ten years since I graduated from Leadership Fort Bend, a program of the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance. I highly recommend it:

As a program of the Chamber, Leadership Fort Bend is designed to create an understanding of how the community functions, and to increase leadership skills and incentive. The program offers skills training, education and new approaches to the study of regional issues. This provides the community with a pool of talent for participation on boards, employment, volunteerism and project facilitation, while building relationships.

Graduates of Leadership Fort Bend are encouraged to use these newly acquired skills to contribute greatly to the area through their service with the Chamber, local government, and many other worthy endeavors.

Candidates are chosen each year from a wide spectrum of the area’s population. Those selected represent business, government, civic and nonprofit organizations, and many other professional fields. Candidates are usually nominated by businesses and organizations, or by self-nomination.

Leadership Fort Bend is a nine-month program, from September to May, including two two-day retreats, a two-day trip to the state capitol and six all-day sessions.
