ICAN Center at Missouri City Branch Library Continues to Help Job Seekers
The ICAN Center at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Missouri City Branch Library continues to help job seekers – or anyone considering a change in employment – by having a variety of career resources all conveniently located in a designated area in the library.
The ICAN Center – which stands for Information, Careers and Networking Center – was launched in October of 2010. Over the past three years, numerous high school students, college graduates, and older adults wanting to start a new career have looked to the resources available at the ICAN Center for help in their career decisions and job searches.
The center provides computers, printers, electronic resources, and traditional print materials that are specifically intended to assist job seekers. Some of the resources that are available include information on job-skills exam preparation, college selection and financial aid, potential employers, and current employment listings.
The Missouri City Branch Library is located at 1530 Texas Parkway. For more information on the ICAN Center, call the branch library at 281-238-2100.
