Library Resource Offers Practice Tests for Variety of Classes and Careers
Are you getting ready for the SAT or ACT tests? Can you pass the U.S. Citizenship test? Fort Bend County Libraries’ LearningExpress Library, an online computer resource for test preparation, offers interactive practice exams for a variety of classes and careers, including college-entrance exams, civil service tests (firefighters, EMTs, postal workers, and police officers), tests for teaching, nursing, real estate, and much more.
The Adult Services staff at the University Branch Library will provide a basic introduction to using the LearningExpress Library resource on Thursday, June 12, beginning at 10:30 am, in the Computer Lab of the library, located at 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land, on the UH campus.
Those attending the class will learn how to access the various practice tests that are available in the LearningExpress Library resource. The online practice tests provide instant scoring and feedback, and they may be repeated as many times as needed. This resource will help test-takers overcome test anxiety, gain confidence, and improve scores, while working at their own pace.
The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. Registration will open on May 29. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “University Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-633-5100, or by visiting the library.
