Internet Job Search Workshop, Nov. 9, 2016

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Missouri City Branch Library will present an “Internet Job-Search Workshop” on Wednesday, November 9, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway.

Amy Will, Coordinator of Employment Services for Family Services of Greater Houston, will explain how to effectively complete an online application, how to submit a resumé and cover letter online, and how to search for jobs on the Internet.

Will has helped individuals and families as a career coach and job developer for the past 15 years.

A part of the United Way, Family Services of Greater Houston is one of the oldest non-profit social-service organizations in the area. The agency’s Employment Services program helps individuals develop career goals, create plans for achieving career goals, connect with employers, and advance in their careers.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website, click on “Calendar,” select “Missouri City Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2100, or by visiting the library.
